  • More than race the main reasons to attack women like this are: 1. they are poor, 2. they've had sex without marriage. Look at what else they've attacked: WIC (nutrution for poor women & infants), Planned Parenthood, headstart, birth control rights, abortion rights etc.

  • I was dismayed when nightly news had clips of Trump demanding Obama's BC and then the show DIDN'T show the BC that's been available ever since the election. Even been certified by the HI Governor who was a republican. Not to mention the birth announcements in 2 HI newspapers.

  • Anyone who thinks teachers are lazy has never been a teacher and doesn't have a clue. I taught one semester teaching 4 one hour courses at a tech school. I put in as much hours if not more than I do as a software engineer. That job paid only %50 what I earn.

  • This is actually the 7th war we are in. Besides the 2 everyone knows about: Iraq and Afghanistan, we are bombing locations in Pakistan, have folks on the ground hunting Al Quiada in Yemen, special forces in Iran and one more that I forget.

  • Another commenter here sneered at the poll. 1. this poll wasn't conducted by NBC. NBC did team with the Wallstreet Journal last week. In that poll people were asked about how should we bring down the Fed debt.

  • What history have your been reading? As far as I remember of US history, while there are several parties, even back to the founding fathers there wound up being two big parties. These parties can change, but only a couple of times has a major party disappeared and been replaced with another.

  • How many now in the public sector have paid vacation, sick leave or a pension? Why are we putting up with not having those things that were considered important standards of living? If these union jobs disappear we will never get those things back and we will have jobs where we can't afford to save …

  • Back when union membership was %36, largest company was GM and a 4 person family could live off a single paycheck, had no worries about saving for retirement or college or health care expenses.
